Based in our Long Island City location, this hybrid position works as a Human Resources Generalist supporting all aspects of the New York-based Employees' experience. From interviewing to on-boarding; from time and attendance to performance management; from workplace investigations to wellness programs, the Human Resources Generalist represents the Company to prospective hires and long-term Employees. This is a growth position and we are willing to train the right candidate in most areas of Human Resources provided the candidate is willing to learn and demonstrates potential, discretion, attention to detail and a true commitment to effective employee relations.
OUTCOMES
Through partnership and teamwork ensures all administrative responsibilities of the entire Department are executed with excellence. Escalates issues appropriately
Ensures that all Employees receive exceptional, timely and confidential support.
Ensures that all Employees in the local facility feel supported to achieve success in their roles.
Through partnership with local leadership, ensures that all employee relations and employee performance issues - including terminations and reviews - follow Company protocols.
Ensure that Employees and the Company's value proposition is realized through the following tasks and activities:
* New Hire On-Boarding - Welcome Packets, Orientations, Benefits Orientations, Building Tours, Colleague Contact Programming
* Entering Employees into ADP
* New Hire paperwork
* New Hire Welcome breakfasts
* On-site Wellness programs - such as flu shots, etc.
* Unemployment claims
* FMLA, NYSPFL, Disability requests and communication
* Reviewing Time & Attendance on ADP - Timecards
* Employee relations * Written Performance Counseling
* Employee terminations - including termination checklists
* Benefits claims issues
* Local significant life events response
* Local Employee file maintenance 2
* Employee appreciation events - such as picnics, etc.
* Volunteer days and other charitable activities such as donation drives and tree trimming parties
* Anniversary celebrations and photography
* Gift distribution to Employees - chocolates and magazines, etc..
* Retirement planning meetings
* Mid-year and year-end performance review organization as well as reviewing reviews
