HR Business Partner

The HR Business Partner administers the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding, and provides support to assigned teams, the HR department, and employees on matters involving recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, talent management, HR compliance, and workforce development. The HR Business Partner also serves as an advocate for safety and health matters at all locations.
Pay: $85K-$100K
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer the full employee lifecycle in Paycor, including onboarding, status changes, leave administration, performance documentation, and offboarding, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all transactions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the Paycor HRIS system, including system configuration, workflow setup, troubleshooting, and training managers on self-service functionality.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement automation and AI-enabled tools to streamline recurring HR processes, including onboarding documentation, status changes, reporting, and compliance tracking.
  • Partner with branch and field leadership on employee retention and engagement strategies across all locations.
  • Respond to and assist with employee relations issues, including documentation, investigations, and resolution of workplace concerns.
  • Coach leaders on company policy and applicable federal and state employment regulations to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant delivery of HR services.
  • Support performance management processes, including performance improvement plans, corrective action documentation, and termination proceedings, in coordination with the HR team and outside counsel as needed.
  • Educate, coach, and counsel leaders on job performance, change management, employee development, and team effectiveness to support business goals.
  • Research and introduce HR best practices and emerging technology to ensure the organization uses leading-edge HR systems and proactively evaluates new strategies and tools.
  • Support the planning and execution of internal communication strategies that deliver accurate, consistent, and timely information on business issues and employee concerns.
  • Assist leadership with work system improvements that positively impact business profitability and employee engagement.
  • Support HR compliance across a multi-state operating footprint, including leave administration, wage and hour requirements, and recordkeeping.
  • Serve as an advocate for safety and health matters at all assigned locations, partnering with operations leadership on safety culture and practices.
Qualifications
Knowledge:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources generalist or HR Business Partner experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant Human Resources credential (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Required: hands-on experience administering an HRIS system in Paycor, including employee lifecycle transactions, workflow configuration, and reporting.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations, overseeing performance management, and administering policy and procedure across multiple locations or settings.
  • Working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing strong customer service to internal and external customers.
