HR Business Partner
Ullico Inc., is actively recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner, for our Human Resources Department. This position is located in our Bethesda, MD office. This position provides HR consultation and support to management (including senior management) in order to align people strategy, talent acquisition, performance management, and workplace culture with departmental goals. This includes recruiting, employee relations, training and development and performance coaching.
Job Duties
- Manage the entire recruitment life cycle which includes proactively and strategically partnering with hiring managers to address current and future staffing needs; leveraging technology to effectively source active and passive candidates, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, checking references, and making job offers.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Troubleshoot employee relations issues, and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed.
- Provide HR policy guidance (Employee Handbook, Collective Bargaining Agreements for OPEIU and UFCW) and interpretation to staff and management as appropriate.
- Identify training needs for staff (including management) and makes recommendations as necessary.
- Perform job evaluation and compensation analysis.
- Perform other similar and related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field is required.
- At least 5-7 years of HR or related business experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent big picture, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, coaching, conflict resolution, and active listening skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong operational literacy in order to understand how HR impacts business as a whole.
