HR Coordinator

Position Summary: The HR Coordinator will assist our growing organization with the administration of day-to-day operations of various human resources functions. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, driven self-starter that is detail-oriented and exudes a passion for continuous improvement. The candidate must have great interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Coordinator helps with the tactical duties required to successfully implement HR services, policies, and programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Employee Experience & Onboarding

  • Work closely with HR, Operations, IT, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure seamless onboarding experience. This will include HRIS onboarding, new hire announcements, onboarding welcome notes and packages, desk setup, and various system setups.
  • Support HR team with new hire orientations including facilitation, scheduling, communications, and meetings.
  • Assist with the collection and tracking of performance reviews (goal setting, 90-day reviews, mid-year, year-end).

HR Operations & Team Support

  • In collaboration with the HR Team, will maintain, monitor, and update HRIS, Human Resources forms, compliance and system information to ensure data is organized and handled in a timely manner.
  • Co-manage the HR inbox, ensuring employee inquiries are addressed promptly.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team across projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate internal monthly employee programming and events.
  • Oversee employee merch/gifting initiatives by tracking inventory, managing welcome bag shipments, and verifying timely deliveries.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Maintain confidential employee files and ensure accuracy of employee documentation.
  • Track compliance for background reports, employee handbook acknowledgments, anti-harassment training, new hire training, and other mandatory requirements.
  • Preparation and submission of weekly internal HR reports.
  • Preparation and submission of monthly HR newsletter.
  • Conduct routine data audits and generate custom reports to meet internal HR and cross-departmental needs.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1–2 years of experience in HR preferred.
  • Keen interest in HR required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • High degree of discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required); HRIS/payroll systems experience a plus (Paycor experience desirable).
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn, with a collaborative team mindset.

The pay range for this position is: $55,000- $60,000 annually, based on experience. This is a Non-exempt position. Employees are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over applicable legal thresholds. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
