MDR Encino Pharmacy is an independent specialty fertility pharmacy serving patients and families with a focus on timely, accurate, and compassionate care.
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR team. This is an on-site role for someone who enjoys the operational side of HR, takes ownership of details, and can manage multiple priorities without losing track of follow-up.
Position Summary
The HR Coordinator works closely with the HR Manager and HR Generalist and plays an important role in the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources department.
The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and able to communicate professionally with employees and managers. Experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee records, HRIS administration, benefits, leaves, compliance, or payroll support is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and pre-employment requirements.
• Manage new-hire onboarding and ensure required documentation and HRIS steps are completed accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical personnel records.
• Prepare employee correspondence, forms, notices, and other HR documentation.
• Process employee changes and maintain employee information within the HRIS.
• Track licenses, certifications, required training, acknowledgments, and other compliance deadlines.
• Assist employees with routine benefits questions and enrollment-related matters.
• Coordinate and track leave-of-absence documentation under the direction of HR leadership.
• Support payroll and timekeeping administration, including follow-up on missing or inconsistent information.
• Prepare routine HR reports and assist with audits and compliance initiatives.
• Support employee separations and related documentation.
• Coordinate HR communications, meetings, projects, and employee events.
• Follow up with employees and managers to ensure outstanding HR matters are completed.
• Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
What We’re Looking For
• At least 1–2 years of direct Human Resources experience.
• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits, leave administration, payroll support, HRIS administration, or HR compliance.
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated follow-through.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to confidently interact with employees and managers.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound judgment and the ability to recognize when an issue requires escalation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
• 2–3 years of Human Resources experience.
• Experience using UKG Ready or another HRIS.
• Experience supporting payroll or timekeeping administration.
• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or another compliance-focused environment.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant HR experience may be considered in place of a degree.
Position Details
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• On-site in Encino, California
• Monday–Friday schedule
