HR Coordinator

SUMMARY
Reporting to the HR Manager, this role will be primarily responsible for the support of all day-to-day Human Resources functions. You will have an active role in onboarding new employees, coordinating orientation and training, and will assist in carrying out employee programs.
SHIFT
Mon to Fri; 9:30 am to 5:30 pm; (Flexibility needed)
RESPONSIBILIES

Provide an internal and external stakeholder focused approach to act as a first point of contact on HR related issues and inquiries
Maintain accuracy of the Time & Attendance system - UKG for the hourly team members
Full cycle recruitment of all hourly positions, including orientation and training of new hires
Support employee engagement programs/activities including organizing and planning employee functions
Create, implement, and maintain training programs and records for hourly and salary employees
Input and maintain confidential employee records within the HRIS system (Dayforce) including new hires, leave of absences, terminations, and other items related to employee record management
Provide support to hourly staff members regarding pay, benefits, claims, and other issues and inquiries
Partner with temporary agencies on hourly staff members documentation and compliance
Provide administrative support for all aspects of Human Resources including benefits, employee file creation/maintenance, performance management, corrective action, retirement, leave of absences, and rewards and recognition programs
Provide support for all HR & Other programs and projects assigned

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

One (1) year of experience in similar Human Resources related role
Two (2) years of experience within an administrative role
Understanding of the Employment Standards Act and other legal aspects of interviewing and hiring
A college diploma or equivalent in Human Resources. Working towards or having a Human Resources Professional Designation (CHRP) would be preferred

COMPETENCIES

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/HRMS systems.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize
Experience working in a professional and confidential capacity
Ability to work as a team player
Integrity and maintain confidentiality
