Summary

Handles full-cycle HR operations for a Singapore-based engineering firm, including recruitment, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new employees. Including coordination with recruitment agent.
  • Facilitate the company’s training plan, including sourcing training centers and booking courses.
  • Facilitate and arrange for the application, monitoring and renewal of NTS employees’ work permits.
  • Registration of employees in various medical operator portals and consolidation of monthly medical invoices.
  • Handle offboarding of foreign employees, including the purchase of air ticket and registration and cancellation of work pass.
  • Apply site entry permit when required.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of HR personnel files in the ERP System.
  • Mediate employees’ conflicts when required.
  • Responsible for the implementation of HR business plans to achieve the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that all HR or labor legal/statutory compliances are followed and to report legal/statutory updates that affect the company on a timely basis.
  • Respond to Government/Statutory body and external organization’s query and survey on human related matters.
  • Participate and contribute actively either as the Chairman or as a member in the working various committees of the company or in any other company’s wide gathering.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or from the Directors’ office.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferably in engineering/construction sector.
  • Good knowledge and interpretation of the Singapore Employment Act and MOM regulations for foreign worker-related matters.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently within the team as well as with the business divisions.
  • Candidates with experience in a recruitment agency and in recruiting foreign workers will be preferred.
  • Strong time-management and multi-tasking ability is necessary. Must have a sense of urgency in handling time-critical tasks and be able to follow-through to completion.
  • Able to write to internal or external parties in the most effective and concise manner. Conversely, must be able to converse concisely and timely.
