HR Generalist (Bilingual: French & English)

About the Position:

We are seeking an accomplished, strategic, and detail-oriented bilingual (English & French) HR professional to join our growing team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner, the Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in delivering a broad range of HR programs and services, including leading departmental communications, administering leave management programs, supporting employee relations, advancing strategic HR initiatives, and ensuring alignment with organizational policies and compliance requirements.

Serving as a trusted resource to employees across the organization, the Human Resources Generalist will bring a strong service-oriented approach to providing timely, accurate guidance on HR policies, procedures, programs, and a wide range of employee-related matters.

What you do daily:

  • Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers, overseeing HR mailbox inquiries and employment verification requests while delivering timely, accurate guidance on HR policies, benefits, programs, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and monitor leave administration through HRIS platforms, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and alignment with applicable policies and requirements.
  • Support the new hire onboarding and orientation experience, including preparing employee documentation and resources and facilitating employees’ introduction to organizational policies, procedures, and HR programs.
  • Partner with the HR team to ensure the timely and accurate administration of employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, terminations, status changes, transfers, leaves of absence, and position changes.
  • Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of HRIS data and employee records, supporting effective HR operations and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and practices to support evolving organizational needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable employment legislation and regulatory requirements, supporting compliant and consistent HR practices across the organization.
  • Contribute to strategic HR projects, programs, and cross-functional initiatives, providing coordination and operational support through implementation.
  • Support required U.S. and Canadian federal, state, and provincial reporting, helping ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of regulatory and compliance obligations.
  • Administer U.S. employment eligibility verification requirements, including reviewing I-9 documentation, processing verifications through E-Verify, and maintaining complete, accurate, and compliant records.

What makes you a good fit:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a mandatory requirement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally within a HR Generalist or comparable role supporting a broad range of HR functions.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, best practices, employment standards, and regulatory requirements across both Canada and the United States.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and effectively engage with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational excellence, and effective time management, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to navigate multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms, with Dayforce experience considered a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated professional judgment, discretion, and integrity when managing sensitive and confidential employee and organizational information.

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.
