As our HR Generalist, you'll play a hands-on role in administering payroll and benefits while supporting employees and leaders across the organization with responsive, practical HR guidance.

What You'll Do:
- Payroll Administration: Accuracy and reliability will be at the center of your work. You will process biweekly payroll through our third-party payroll system, review time and payroll data, resolve discrepancies, maintain payroll records, reconcile payroll-related accounts, and respond to employee questions with professionalism and care.
- Benefits Administration: You will help employees understand and use their benefits by supporting enrollments, qualifying life-event changes, and benefit questions. You will maintain accurate records, coordinate with benefit providers, assist with annual enrollment, and help resolve benefit issues from start to finish.
- Employee Support & HR Operations: You will serve as an approachable point of contact for employees and managers, support onboarding and employee changes, answer policy and HR questions, and help ensure each employee receives a consistent, responsive, and respectful experience.
- Leave Management & Compliance: You will review and track FMLA and other leave requests, maintain complete and confidential documentation, monitor important deadlines, and help keep payroll, benefits, and HR practices aligned with employment laws and company policies.
- Culture & Continuous Improvement: You will partner with leadership teams to strengthen engagement, retention, and company culture, support company events and recognition efforts, identify opportunities to improve HR processes, and help create the family atmosphere that makes Metro Group a great place to work.
What You'll Bring:
- 1-3 years of HR generalist, payroll, and benefits experience.
- Strong payroll administration and attention-to-detail skills.
- Working knowledge of employee benefits, FMLA, and employment law.
- High integrity, discretion, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment.
- A proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Experience with iSolved is a plus.
Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Main Location: You will be based out of the Metro Group main office at 3150 West 900 South in Salt Lake City, Utah.
