HR Generalist (Permanent) Cape Winelands

Requirments:

A warm, patient, people-first personality — this role is as much about relationships as it is about numbers
A relevant HR, Industrial Psychology or Business Management qualification
Payroll qualification and/or solid payroll experience
3–5 years in a generalist HR role with payroll accountability
Working knowledge of BCEA, PAYE, UIF and COIDA
Strong Excel; SAGE 300/Pastel Evolution and ESS experience is a bonus
Hospitality or service-industry background is a plus
SDF certification is advantageous

Duties:

Payroll

Running the fortnightly and monthly payroll cycle — overtime, tips, commission, leave, deductions, new starters, promotions and exits
Keeping reconciliations, control accounts, salary journals and reporting airtight
Handling statutory submissions: SARS, UIF and COIDA

Owning recruitment and onboarding end to end — adverts, shortlisting, interviews, references, offers
Supporting managers through employee relations, discipline, performance management and probation
Maintaining accurate records, ESS and pension fund admin, with strong data integrity
Driving performance management, training, wellness and engagement initiatives
Compiling HR and payroll reports and supporting audits and HR projects
