Position Summary: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting and administering the day-to-day Human Resources functions at Sidekick Therapy Partners. This position serves as an HR resource for teammates and helps ensure that established HR processes are completed accurately, consistently, and in accordance with Sidekick policies and applicable employment requirements.
The HR Generalist supports a broad range of HR responsibilities throughout the teammate lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, leave administration, HRIS and personnel records, workers’ compensation, employment compliance, and routine teammate support.
The HR Generalist reports to the Director of Human Resources and works closely with the Director to support effective HR operations across the organization. The HR Generalist is expected to exercise sound judgment in carrying out assigned HR responsibilities and will consult with or escalate matters to the Director of Human Resources when additional guidance or approval is appropriate.

- 2+ years of prior Human Resources experience preferred.
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant education and/or Human Resources experience will be considered.
- General knowledge of Human Resources practices and applicable employment laws.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently carry out established HR processes and responsibilities and exercise sound judgment in addressing routine HR matters.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to recognize when an HR matter requires additional guidance or escalation.
- Sound judgment and professionalism when handling sensitive situations.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a teammate-focused approach.

Teammate Lifecycle & HR Administration
- Coordinate HR onboarding and offboarding processes, including employment documentation, background checks, Form I-9 and E-Verify requirements, and other applicable employment processes.
- Prepare and maintain employment agreements, teammate change documentation, separation documents, personnel records, and other HR-related documentation.
- Process teammate changes involving compensation, position, supervisor, schedule, location, benefits, or employment status.
- Maintain accurate and confidential teammate information within HRIS, payroll, benefits, and other HR-related systems.
- Coordinate with payroll regarding new hires, terminations, compensation changes, benefit deductions, and other payroll-impacting information.
Benefits, Leave & Teammate Support
- Support the administration of Sidekick’s benefits programs, including enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, annual Open Enrollment, and routine teammate benefit questions.
- Process benefit enrollments and changes and assist with resolving routine enrollment or deduction issues with teammates, payroll, and benefit vendors.
- Support the administration of teammate leaves of absence, including required documentation, notices, tracking, deadlines, and return-to-work information.
- Assist with the administrative components of workplace accommodation requests and maintain confidential leave and accommodation documentation.
- Serve as an accessible HR resource for teammates, independently addressing routine HR questions and concerns and providing guidance regarding policies, benefits, payroll, leave, and other HR processes.
Workers’ Compensation & Compliance
- Coordinate the administrative components of workplace injuries and workers’ compensation claims, including required documentation, communication, tracking, and return-to-work information.
- Assist with employment verifications, HR audits, and compliance reviews.
- Identify and address routine HR compliance matters and escalate significant or complex compliance concerns as appropriate.
- Monitor HR deadlines and follow up with teammates regarding outstanding requirements.
Employee Relations, Policies & HR Initiatives
- Assist with routine employee relations matters and support the Director of Human Resources with more complex employee relations matters and associated documentation.
- Support the maintenance and communication of Sidekick’s Employee Handbook, HR policies, procedures, forms, templates, and other HR resources.
- Assist the Director of Human Resources with HR projects and organizational initiatives, including HR support related to organizational growth, transitions, and acquisitions.
- Perform other Human Resources duties and special projects as assigned.
