About the Role

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) programs and the teams who serve children and families throughout our communities.

Based at our Fishkill corporate office, this on-site role partners closely with UPK program leadership, site directors, and employees to support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HR systems, and employment compliance.

The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site childcare and early education environment. You will help ensure our UPK teams have the HR guidance, resources, and support they need to build strong teams and deliver high-quality early childhood education.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with at least one year of experience who enjoys working directly with people, solving problems, and making a meaningful impact on the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and UPK program requirements.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, leave requests, and HR-related questions.
  • Maintain HRIS systems, employee records, and HR reports.
  • Support employee engagement, retention initiatives, and internal communications.
  • Conduct employee orientations, benefits presentations, and HR training sessions.
  • Maintain employee handbook policies and support consistent policy implementation across UPK sites.
  • Partner with site directors and program leadership to address employee concerns and promote a positive workplace culture.
