HR Manager - Employee Relations & Talent Acquisition

This role serves as a hands-on individual contributor responsible for managing complex employee relations matters, advising leadership on HR strategy, and executing full-cycle recruitment to support business growth. The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional with strong judgment, communication skills, and the ability to navigate sensitive issues while balancing business needs and compliance requirements. This individual will champion a healthy workplace environment, foster trust, and reinforce company culture.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Serve as a strategic advisor to managers and leaders on performance, behavior, and workplace concerns
- Manage and conduct investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies
- Maintain ER documentation, case records, and risk assessments
- Identify trends and recommend proactive actions, training, or policy updates
- Support culture development, engagement, and retention initiatives
- Build an environment of open communication, respect, and constructive feedback
- Partner with leaders to enhance manager capability and consistency in handling people matters
Talent Acquisition
- Partner with senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and workforce planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for key roles; establish sourcing strategies and candidate pipelines, including active sourcing, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Execute employer branding, selection processes, offer negotiations, and onboarding, while handling day-to-day recruitment activities as need.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers and ensure consistent hiring standards
- Drive improvements in recruitment efficiency, candidate experience, and quality of hire
- Ensure new hires experience a smooth transition and positive early engagement
HR Leadership & Operations
- Contribute to policy development, HR process improvements, and compliance programs
- Support HRIS accuracy, reporting, and analytics for decision-making
- Lead or participate in audits, compliance reviews, and HR training initiatives
- Support DEIB, culture, communication, and employee involvement efforts
- Promote collaborative working relationships and cross-functional alignment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience with strong exposure to employee relations and recruitment
- Proven ability to manage complex ER issues and advise leadership
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience managing full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
