Role Overview

The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the school. This role is key to supporting a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with educational and labour regulations, and aligning HR strategies with the institution’s academic vision.



Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for teaching and non-teaching staff
  • Coordinate with academic heads for staffing requirements
  • Conduct interviews, reference checks, and onboarding processes

2. Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee onboarding, confirmation, and exit formalities
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Implement induction programs for new hires

3. Performance Management

  • Design and manage appraisal systems for faculty and staff
  • Support performance reviews and professional development plans
  • Work with leadership to identify training needs

4. Employee Relations

  • Act as a bridge between management and staff
  • Address grievances and resolve workplace conflicts
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture

5. Compliance & Policies

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and school regulations
  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies
  • Maintain statutory records and handle audits

6. Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Coordinate payroll processing and attendance management
  • Administer employee benefits and leave management systems

7. Training & Development

  • Organize training sessions, workshops, and staff development programs
  • Facilitate continuous learning aligned with CBSE or other board requirements


Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in an educational institution
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices
  • Experience in school HR systems is an advantage
