HR Manager
HR Manager – Construction Company: Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Manpower Planning Identify manpower requirements for construction projects.Recruit engineers, supervisors, skilled workers, laborers, and administrative staff.Coordinate interviews, selection, reference checks, and onboarding.Maintain a database of available workers and candidates.
- Employee Relations Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts.Maintain good communication between management, site teams, and employees.Promote a positive and professional work environment.
- Payroll & Attendance Monitor employee attendance, overtime, leave, and timesheets.Coordinate with finance/payroll to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.Manage allowances, deductions, benefits, and site-related payments.
- Construction Site HR Coordinate HR activities across multiple project sites.Ensure proper mobilization and demobilization of workers.Maintain employee records, work permits, accommodation, transportation, and other site requirements where applicable.
- Labor Law & Compliance Ensure compliance with employment, wage, working-hour, immigration, and statutory requirements.Maintain required employee documentation and records.Coordinate with government authorities and auditors when necessary.
- Health, Safety & Welfare Work closely with the HSE/Safety team to promote workplace safety.Support safety training, induction programs, and employee welfare initiatives.Ensure workers receive appropriate information and support regarding company policies.
- Performance & Training Coordinate performance evaluations and appraisals.Identify training and development needs.Organize training, orientation, and skills-development programs.
- Policies & Procedures Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.Ensure employees understand company rules, code of conduct, attendance policies, and disciplinary procedures.Maintain HR manuals and documentation.
- Reporting Prepare HR reports on headcount, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, overtime, payroll, and manpower costs.Provide management with workforce-related analysis and recommendations.
