Human Resources Manager

Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of the Human Resources function. This position is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support the organization's business objectives while fostering a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. The Human Resources Manager oversees talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, payroll administration, performance management, policy development, compliance, training, and HR staff leadership.
Essential Responsibilities
Strategic Human Resources Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and business objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership to provide guidance on workforce planning, organizational development, and employee engagement.
- Develop, recommend, and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead and mentor the Human Resources team while promoting continuous improvement.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Direct all recruitment, selection, hiring, and onboarding activities.
- Develop recruiting strategies to attract and retain high-quality talent.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies.
- Partner with department managers on workforce planning and staffing needs.
Employee Relations and Performance Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
- Lead investigations involving employee complaints, workplace concerns, and policy violations.
- Provide guidance and coaching on employee performance, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee the performance evaluation process and ensure timely completion of performance reviews.
- Promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll
- Administer employee benefit programs, including open enrollment, vendor coordination, compliance, and employee communications.
- Conduct salary surveys and provide recommendations regarding compensation programs.
- Oversee payroll processing, including timekeeping review, payroll system administration, and accuracy of payroll submissions.
- Review and reconcile monthly benefit invoices and related expenditures.
- Maintain accurate records of benefit participation and personnel transactions.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain HR records and government reporting requirements.
- Interpret employment laws and advise leadership on compliance obligations.
- Develop and enforce company policies consistent with legal requirements and organizational values.
- Support regulatory audits and maintain required employment documentation.
HR Operations and Administration
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR information systems.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and workforce analyses to support business decisions.
- Manage departmental budgets and monitor HR-related expenditures.
- Support organizational training initiatives and employee development programs.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office environment with regular interaction throughout the organization.
- Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required to support business operations.
- Periodic travel between company locations may be required.
