Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will oversee the important decisions within the HR department in the New Lenox, IL location regarding aspects such as employee relations, human resources software, and business management. Additionally, the HRM will monitor the HR department’s practical efficiency and formulate strategies to improve it.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategy for HR management in conjunction with the CPO focusing on Recruitment, Selection, and Retention; Training and Development; Skills assessment; Performance Management; Employee Engagement; Change Management; Disciplinary and Grievance; Compensation and Benefits; and Succession Planning.

  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for non-exempt positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openings.

  • Support the management team by establishing screening and interviewing processes.

  • Counsel hiring managers on candidate selection.

  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.

  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data.

  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources federal and state requirements.

  • Manage the performance appraisal system that drives effective execution.

  • Coordinate with the HR team and employees to identify areas of improvement, recommend changes, and implement functional solutions for the HRIS.

  • Maintaining data integrity in systems by regularly analyzing data for managed locations.

  • Effectively working with the HR team to prioritize work and establish a strong partnership with the IT and HRIS partner to ensure clear governance in how value is delivered to the end users with the goal of providing an amazing employee experience.

  • Design user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation for HR workflows.

  • Facilitates an effective onboarding process to ensure all team members are properly inducted for their roles and the broader organizational culture.

  • Ensure employees are completing required training sessions for sensitive subjects such as diversity and sexual harassment.

  • Work in partnership with department heads to obtain a clear understanding of the business requirements/evolution identifying critical talent development and training needs.

  • Provide advice and guidance on employee relations to include disciplinary and grievance hearings, performance, and absence management programs in line with relevant HR policies, practices, and systems.

  • Provides advice to management on pay decisions that are cost-effective and consistent with company compensation policies.

  • Manage and develop the HR Assistant, through the application of performance management and the provision of effective training solutions that are aligned with the company's core values.

  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $136,400.00 annually.

Within this range, individual pay is determined by the work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position also includes a choice of health care plan (medical, vision, and dental insurance), a quarterly incentive bonus, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave and a 401(K) for all eligible employees.
