HR Officer
Discovery College is seeking to appoint a HR Officer to join the team.
Main Accountabilities
Maintains HR information including employee personal data, recruitment, leave, etc., to ensure data completeness and accuracy
Generates HR reports for school management
Acts as primary contact for Workday enquiries within schools
Handles travel insurance for school trips
Visa application for inviting overseas visitor coming in campus for performance or workshops
Prepares payroll information for school-based employees, such as supply teachers, EA and casual staff by entering timesheets and meet monthly payroll cut off dates
Coordinates with support staff, teaching staff and School Leadership Team to ensure all relevant data is uploaded etc.
Liaises with the ESF HR regarding staff leave records
Assists recruiters with advertising, job requisition, scheduling interviews, reference checks and keeping interview records
Collect information and documents from new staff for ESF for contract preparation and visa applications
Assist with renewals for visa applications for teaching staff
Coordinate with ESF HR for renewals of employment contracts of teaching staff and EA
Manages HR-related enquiries from colleagues and candidates
Complete school surveys as requested by Government departments
Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed-upon objectives

Minimum typical education
BA (or Diploma) in Business Administration/ Human Resources
Minimum typical experience
3 years of more relevant experience
Core Professional/Technical Competencies required
Abilities
Excellent hands-on experience using Excel and Word
Sound administrative and organizing skills
Knowledge
HRIS software
Knowledge of relevant HK Ordinances, eg. Employment, Immigration, Equal Opportunity etc.
