HR Officer

Open 57d

You know how to keep people happy, policies tight, and teams ticking - now you just need the right company to back you.

We’re on the hunt for a Warehouse People Pro who’s organised, hands-on, and ready to roll up their sleeves to make sure our Germiston warehouse team is fully supported — from recruitment and onboarding to performance and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & contracts – From job posts to contract management

  • Onboarding – Making new joiners feel at home from day one

  • Leave, benefits & payroll administration

  • Performance management – Helping the team hit targets and grow

  • Team development – identifying training needs

  • Support line managers with disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and grievance handling

  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, health & safety regulations, and company policies.

  • Assist with shift planning, overtime management, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels.

  • HR admin – Keeping policies and paperwork in check

Personal Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Organised, proactive, and ready to roll up your sleeves

Experience:

  • Degree in Human Resources or Psychology

  • Previous relevant HR experience — you’ve been there, done that

  • Solid experience with labour law

  • Confident using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

The Hard Truth: Not For Everyone

  • The Front Line: This is not a quiet office job. You are in the heart of the warehouse. You will be dealing with noise, movement, and real-time people issues.

  • Uncomfortable Conversations: Conflict resolution is a daily task, not an occasional one. You must be comfortable delivering direct feedback and managing difficult staffing situations without hesitation.

  • Immediate Accountability: If there is a payroll error or a staffing gap, the floor feels it instantly. You need to be detail-obsessed because your "paperwork" affects people's lives and the business's output in real time.

If you’re nodding along, we’d love to hear from you.

MyRunway is committed to transformation and redressing of past inequalities. Our employment equity goals will be taken into account in our selection process.
