Job Summary

The Human Resources and Payroll Assistant supports HR operations and payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely management of employee records, benefits, and compensation. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidential information. This role will also be responsible for managing employees specialized Driver Qualification Packets.

Payroll Administration:

• Hours Review: Audit electronic employee hours within the HRIS for accuracy.
• Time-Off Approval: Review, verify, and track digital paid and unpaid time-off requests
• Payroll Submission: Process and submit the finalized data to process payroll

Benefits and Compliance:

• Serve as a liaison for health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
• Create and maintain employees' driver qualifications packets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with DOT regulations.

Employee Relations and HR Operations:

• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding pay, benefits, and policies.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding, and maintain employees' HR files.
• Respond to unemployment claims.
• Process all employee garnishments.

Administrative and Reporting Duties:

• Prepare monthly usage fuel reports for upper management.
• Manage employees' company fuel cards.
