We are looking for a HR Specialist based in Diegem, Belgium.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
We are looking for a HR Specialist to join the European Head Office/Global Head Office HR team in Diegem. In this role, you support the local HR team to develop and administer various HR processes and policies by providing day-to-day HR support and solutions to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain employees to achieve business objectives in line with business needs, overarching HR plans/ policies and current legislation.
- Provide support to HR Business Partners, along with guidance to Managers and employees for implementation of HR policies and processes.
- Coordinate and administer HR processes and policies such as Talent Management, Recruiting, C&B, Performance Management, Time & Attendance, Wellbeing etc., specifically:
- Support HR Business Partner with hiring process, including preparing job adverts, background checks, on boarding new employees and internal promotions/transfers.
- Prepare Individual Development Plan meetings in line with defined process, administrate and coordinate.
- Ensure employee data accuracy in HR systems.
- Prepare and take care of all local topics relating to recognition and engagement, e.g. Long Service Awards, organization of Events, Wellbeing initiatives, …
- Employment documentation and contract management
- Employee communication: updating local HR intranet pages, organization info sessions…
- Focus on the delivery of service to set standards and targets, schedules for all HR processes and policies
- Support a wide range of HR work spanning across the employee lifecycle – sometimes complex and non-routine requiring background research e.g. providing advice, analyzing data trends
- Analyze HR activities to identify issues and areas for process improvements
- Enhance awareness and compliance with company policies/ and procedures and legal requirements/ regulations.
- Represent HR Business Partners during absence.
Do you have what it takes?
- Degree in HR/Psychology/Law/Business Administration is an advantage
- Exposure across all key aspects of HR processes including Talent, C&B, ER/IR etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience of building & maintaining relationships
- Excellent organizational skills
- Previous experience working in an international company or environment.
- Self-motivated and resilient
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word,) and software programs
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, often with limited guidelines.
- Works independently with limited supervision, showing ownership and accountability for outcomes.
- Good working knowledge of English and Dutch
- Eye for compliance and standard control
