Purpose of Role The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic partner to Lady Elizabeth School (Benitachell, Alicante) and Newton College (Elche, Alicante). This hybrid role includes weekly visits to both schools and remote work. Reporting to the Regional Head of HR Business Partnering, and working closely with Principals, SLT and line managers, the HRBP will deliver a people plan aligned with ISP’s School of Choice strategy, global people strategy and local priorities. The role drives workforce planning, talent development, performance, organisational design, employee engagement and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities • Partner with the Regional Head of HR Business Partnering and school leaders to align HR activity with regional growth and operational priorities. • Advise on workforce planning, succession, organisational design, performance, skills gaps and development needs. • Use Workday and HR data to monitor turnover, engagement, recruitment and learning metrics, translating insight into action. • Provide expert, practical guidance on complex employee relations, including grievances and disciplinary matters. • Champion effective, data-driven and technology-enabled HR processes; build Workday capability among HR, managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle. • Ensure processes comply with local employment law and ISP policy, and are updated in line with legislative and best-practice changes. • Lead safer recruitment standards across both schools, ensuring fair, rigorous, compliant processes and a positive candidate experience. • Embed consistent performance management, including goal-setting, continuous feedback and employee development. • Partner with Regional HR and Learning & Innovation to implement learning programmes and build talent pipelines. • Recognise high performance; support salary benchmarking and the annual salary review alongside Finance and leadership. • Contribute to regional OMR talent reviews and succession planning; identify, challenge and develop talent with school leaders and the Regional Learning Director. • Use Workday Talent Optimisation to support talent decisions and internal mobility. Ensure high-performing and high-potential employees have tailored development plans in Workday and follow-up from line managers. • Lead engagement-survey discussions and action planning; promote wellbeing, employer brand, belonging and DEIB across both schools. • Support onboarding of new schools and organisational change, protecting a strong employee experience during growth and transition. Skills, Qualifications and Experience • Five or more years’ HR experience supporting a diverse client group. • Workday experience is desirable. • Fluent English and Spanish.
