High school interns assist staff at a non-profit youth development organization, completing a 20-week program that includes work-readiness training and hands-on internship assignments.
PAL's Internship Program "In-Step" is a stipend based work readiness and internship program that offers opportunities for young adults ages 16 thru 19. In-Step is a 20 week program divided into 2 parts. Part 1 - the Interns will attend work readiness works for 10 weeks. Part 2 - Once the Interns successfully complete the work readiness portion of the program, they will then be assigned to a internal or external Internship assignment. As a Interns you will be a integral member of the team and provide ongoing assistance to worksite staff. . All interns should be team oriented, have a positive outlook, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to be adaptable and creative, and must be flexible enough to make changes as needed when situations may occur.
