Description

HS QA Project Manager
Tumwater, WA
Annual Salary Range: $109,545 to $120,393
The Department of Corrections is seeking a Health Service Quality Assurance Project Manager.

The Health Services Division is responsible for delivering constitutionally mandated health care services to incarcerated individuals across Washington state. These services include medical, dental, mental health, pharmacy, and specialty care provided through a statewide network of correctional facilities. The division ensures that care delivery meets regulatory, accreditation, and policy standards while supporting the department's mission to improve public safety by positively changing lives.

Within the Health Services Division, the Quality Assurance Systems Team leads strategic efforts to evaluate, improve, and sustain the quality and effectiveness of care delivery. This position leads quality assurance reviews, manages high risk corrective action plans, and oversees strategic projects that impact agency wide health outcomes. Based on the results of quality assurance reviews, the position provides formal recommendations for quality improvement efforts to health services leadership, ensuring that corrective actions are not only implemented but remain effective and sustainable over time.

The role operates independently and collaborates with clinical, operational, and executive leadership to ensure compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement across health services programs. Its scope of influence extends beyond individual facilities, shaping agency-wide practices and contributing to the long-term effectiveness of the Department's health care delivery system.

Application assessment will be ongoing, and the hiring authority reserves the right to offer the position at any time during the recruitment process. It is to the applicant's advantage to apply as early as possible.
