HSE Administrator
Since 1833, Cooper Machinery Services has kept the industries the world depends on running safely, day after day. From our shops to our customers' sites, that record is built and protected by people like you. We're looking for an HSE Administrator who thrives on organization and precision — someone who keeps our safety programs sharp, our records audit-ready, and our people protected. If you find satisfaction in getting the details exactly right, this is a role where that skill matters every single day.
THE ROLE
The HSE Administrator keeps Cooper's Health, Safety, and Environmental function organized, current, and audit-ready. You'll maintain records, coordinate training and compliance documentation, track incidents and corrective actions, and support audits and inspections — working closely with HSE staff, site leadership, and field and shop personnel.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Maintain HSE contractor management tools — ISNetworld, Veriforce, PEC, and Avetta.
- Manage DOT and Non-DOT random drug testing pools, and schedule post-accident drug screens.
- Maintain HSE records, logs, and databases: training records, incident reports, inspection checklists, safety data sheets, and permits.
- Track completion of required safety training and certifications, and send reminders ahead of renewals and expirations.
- Help schedule and document safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
- Support incident and near-miss reporting, including data entry and follow-up on corrective action status.
- Help prepare materials for internal and external HSE audits.
- Assist with regulatory recordkeeping, including OSHA 300 logs.
- Prepare routine reports and metrics summaries for HSE leadership.
- Support new-hire HSE onboarding documentation.
- Handle general administrative duties for the HSE department — filing, correspondence, and scheduling.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience maintaining ISNetworld, Veriforce, PEC, and Avetta contractor management tools.
- Experience managing a DOT/Non-DOT random drug testing pool.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in occupational health & safety is a plus.
- 1–3 years of administrative experience supporting an HSE, EHS, or compliance function.
- Familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping requirements preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with EHS software/database systems a plus.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment and interacting with field and shop personnel.
