About the Role
We are looking for a proactive HSE Coordinator / WSH Coordinator to support workplace safety, health, and environmental (HSE) activities for civil engineering and pipe laying projects. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations, company safety policies, and project-specific HSE requirements while promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support and coordinate Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and environmental activities in compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
Monitor compliance with safe work procedures, project specifications, and legal requirements.
Conduct routine site safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
Assist in implementing and maintaining the project HSE Management System (HSEMS).
Coordinate toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and HSE training for employees and subcontractors.
Maintain accurate WSH and environmental documentation, reports, and registers.
Assist in risk assessments and implementation of risk control measures.
Support incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
Ensure Permit-to-Work (PTW) documentation is complete and properly implemented.
Assist in environmental control programs and emergency preparedness activities.
Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on HSE matters.
Compile WSH statistics, reports, and trend analysis.
Perform other HSE-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Education
Diploma in Occupational Safety Management, Fire & Safety Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of relevant HSE/WSH experience.
Experience in Civil Engineering or Pipe Laying projects is preferred.
Experience on PUB, SP Group, or LTA projects will be an advantage.
Certifications
Candidates should possess most of the following:
Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B)
Risk Management Certificate
Working at Height Certificate
CSSA Certification
Lifting Certification

Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence
