HSE Engineer (Saudi national)
Summary
Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance on a large construction project in Riyadh, conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations to uphold Saudi and international safety standards.
We are seeking a qualified and proactive HSE Specialist (Saudi nationals only) to join the PMCM team on a prestigious project in Riyadh.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with project Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements across construction activities, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting the project's commitment to achieving the highest safety standards.
- Monitor site activities and ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, Saudi regulations, and international best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
- Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Review and monitor contractors' HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, and permits to work.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
- Monitor compliance with environmental requirements and sustainability standards.
- Ensure appropriate PPE usage and safe working practices across all construction activities.
- Track and report HSE performance metrics and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of safety performance.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Saudi national only
- Minimum 5–8 years of HSE experience on large construction, infrastructure, or building projects.
- Previous experience working within a PMCM/Consultancy environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations, international safety standards, and construction safety practices.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
