HSE Executive

Responsibilities

• Checks and proposes compliance to the employer on laws regarding work safety.
• Prepares the plan / project on work safety for management approval.
• Establishes and revises the emergency plan, evacuation plan, and safety manual as required.
• Sets and organizes site safety committees and meeting schedules.
• Advises, supervises, and coordinates all safety related training programs to ensure safe practices are implemented properly.
• Advises / trains the employees to safely carry out potentially hazardous work practices.
• Supervises the employees to comply with the rules, regulations, and measures relating to work safety.
• Checks the performance of the place of operation in accordance to work plans, projects or measures on work safety.
• Conducts and advises work place accident investigations and reports results and proposals without delay to management in order to prevent further incidents.
• Inspects the facilities to detect potential hazards and recommends corrective and preventative actions as appropriate.
• Compiles; analyzes information and statistics; prepares reports; and makes recommendations relating to injury, sickness or disturbances resulting from daily work practices of employees.
• Complies and submits documentation required by the regulatory Safety Department / Labor Department.
• Performs as required by company OHS policy and procedures.
• Performs other jobs as assigned by a superior.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety.
• 1-2 years in safety and health.
• Proper training and testing under the course as prescribed by the Director-General, from the agency certified by the department of Social Welfare and Labor Protection. Or a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health or any equivalent qualification.
