HSE Inspector
Summary
HSE Inspector conducts site inspections, audits, and investigations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. Role requires knowledge of Saudi and international HSE standards, NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certifications, and 5+ years of experience in building, road, or industrial projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance with HSE regulations and company policies
- Identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented
- Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
- Review and evaluate safety plans and risk assessments for various projects
- Provide HSE training and awareness sessions to staff and subcontractors, promoting a strong safety culture
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures
- Prepare detailed reports on findings, corrective actions, and HSE performance metrics
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained
- Stay updated on changes in HSE legislation and implement necessary adjustments to company policies
- Assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies for projects
- Support the creation and execution of emergency response plans, including conducting drills and training exercises
- Collaborate with project managers and team leaders to integrate HSE practices into all aspects of operations
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (construction, civil, or related field)
- Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles within building, road, industrial, or infrastructure projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of local Saudi Arabian and international HSE regulations and standards
