Job Title: HSE Officer – Barakah Nuclear Power Plant

Location: Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Employment Type: Full-time / Site-based

Experience: 2–6 years

About the Role

Power Nine General Contracting (P9) is looking for a committed HSE Officer to support electrical works at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant.

You will put HSE procedures into practice on site, keep work compliant with client and regulatory requirements, and help maintain a strong safety culture in a highly regulated nuclear environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) (mandatory)
• 2–6 years of HSE experience in power plants, oil & gas, industrial facilities, or major construction projects
• GCC/UAE experience preferred; nuclear or utility-sector experience is a strong advantage

Skills

• Sound knowledge of OSHAD-SF, ADNOC/ENEC HSE standards, and international practice (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
• Hands-on experience with PTW systems, LOTO, confined space entry, and work at height
• Basic understanding of radiation safety and nuclear-site safety culture, or willingness to be trained
• Strong incident investigation and reporting skills (RCA, 5-Why, Fishbone)
• Ability to deliver clear safety briefings to a multinational workforce
• Good written and spoken English (Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is a plus)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reports and statistics
• Additional certificates are an advantage: IOSH, OSHAD Practitioner, First Aid, Fire Warden, H2S, Scaffolding Inspection
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working at a remote site
