HSE Officer
Carry out the duties of a WSHO as outlined in legislation and regulations.
Ensure all statutory acts, regulations, company safety rules, and codes of practice are implemented and complied with by all staff.
Provide coaching and guidance to the workforce on workplace safety practices.
Implement and oversee the project-specific HSE management system and programs in alignment with corporate procedures.
Support company and project initiatives to achieve HSE-related awards and certifications.
Perform site safety audits, inspections, & compliance checks.
Identify and address gaps in WSH/Environmental systems, procedures, and performance, recommending improvements.
Develop and implement the Safety Program.
Review and evaluate WSH Management System (WSHMS) and Environmental reports.
Conduct safety meetings, briefings, and training for stakeholders.
Liaise closely with project team to maintain a high level of safety, health and environmental standard.
Liaise with authorities on occupational safety, health, and environmental matters.
Advise Project Director/Manager on WSH issues and improvements.
Maintain accurate site environmental, health, and safety records and reports while ensuring timely submission.
Review internal and external risk assessments and risk management processes.
Investigate workplace incidents, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and following up on implementation.
Ensure all Permit-to-Work (PTW) supporting documents are valid and in place.
Prepare and submit the Site Environmental Control Program before work commences.
Organize and coordinate tabletop exercises, Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan drills, and ensure the maintenance of emergency response equipment.
Prepare and present detailed data analytics reports on WSH performance, conditions, and practices.
Perform any other ad hoc HSE-related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Workplace Safety and Health or related discipline.
MOM-registered (WSHO) 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to WSH& ENV
Min 5 years working Experience with CAG projects is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Own transport is preferred.
Working hours: 5.5 days work, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 12noon
