HSEQ Manager

What you will do:


  • Developing and implementing HSEQ documentation: drafting, updating, and implementing health & safety and environment policies and procedures in line with legislationand industry best practices.

  • Providing advice and guidance promoting a positive HSEQ culture: offering
    advice and guidance to management, supervisors, and workers on health and safety matters, including safe work practices, equipment usage, and emergency procedures.

  • Planning for HSEQ, including the setting of realisticshort and long term objectives, deciding priorities and establishing adequate systems and performance standards.

  • Reviewing HSEQ system performance: auditing periodically the whole health & safety and environmental management system promoting continuous improvement.

  • Conducting Risk Assessments:identifying potential hazards in the workplace, conducting risk assessments, and implementing control measures to mitigate risks.

  • Monitoringcompliance: regularly auditing and inspecting construction sites to ensure compliance with health & safety and environment regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

  • Coordinating with ProjectDirectors to ensure contractors, their sub-contractors and/or agents carry out all activities in a safe and controlled manner in accordance with appropriate Health & Safety and Environment policies and procedures, in accordance with statutory and Aer Soléir requirements.

  • Supervisingthe implementation and good use of Personal Protective Equipment on site.

  • Ensuring that all HSEQ incidents are correctly reported:identifying the hazards, intervenient and the associated mitigation measures and relevant reviews of work procedures.

  • Investigating incidents: investigating unsafe conditions and acts, near
    misses, and accidents, to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

  • Delivering training: planning and delivering health & safety and environment
    training programs for employees, including induction training for new workers, toolbox talks, and specialized training for specific tasks or hazards.

  • Liaising with authorities: serving as the point of contact for health & safety and environment inspections conducted by regulatory authorities and ensuring prompt
    resolution of any identified issues.

  • Participatingin HSEQ meetings, internal and external with Contractors and Suppliers.

  • Maintainingrecords: maintaining accurate records of inspections, incidents, training activities, and safety-related documentation as required by regulations and company policies.

  • Report Health & Safety and Environment KPIs
    on a monthly basis.

Requirements

  • A relevant third-level qualification in health and safety management, environment, engineering – construction sector or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as the NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely.
  • In-depth knowledge ofIrish (or UK)health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Knowledge of ISO Management Systems(notablyISO 45001 and 14001).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years Health & Safety experience within the construction industry, preferably on large scale energy projects or HV projects.
  • Ability to travel extensively across Europe to our site and stakeholders.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and delivering health and safety training.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities toidentifyhazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in communication, resourcemanagementand the use of software,

particularly Microsoft Office suite.
