Why this role matters

As HSSE Manager – Wind, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, secure, and environmentally responsible delivery of one of Scatec’s renewable energy projects. You will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) practices across the project, helping to protect people, assets, communities, and the environment.

Working closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, you will drive a proactive HSSE culture, ensure compliance with legal and international standards, and support operational excellence throughout all phases of project execution.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will take ownership of HSSE leadership and project compliance activities, including:

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the project HSSE Management System and HSSE Plan

  • Develop and enforce HSSE procedures related to wind turbine installation, heavy lifting, and work at height activities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, permits, ISO standards, and project HSSE requirements

  • Act as the primary HSSE focal point with authorities, contractors, and project stakeholders

  • Lead and coordinate HSSE personnel, contractors, training programs, and awareness initiatives across the project

  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, audits, and monitoring activities to ensure safe project execution

  • Manage incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and emergency preparedness activities

  • Monitor and report HSSE performance, KPIs, trends, and improvement initiatives to project leadership

Your work will directly contribute to protecting people, strengthening project performance, and ensuring the successful delivery of Scatec’s wind energy ambitions.

What you’ll bring

Experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field

  • Minimum 10 years of HSSE experience within construction projects, including at least 5 years in a managerial role

  • Experience within wind energy projects is highly preferred

  • NEBOSH International General Certificate or an equivalent HSSE certification is an advantage

  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems; GWO safety training or certification is considered an advantage

  • Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken
