HubSpot Go-to-Market Engineer – AI & Automation

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + Super

HubSpot Go-to-Market Engineer – AI & Automation

Remote – Australia & New Zealand
$120,000–$150,000 + super

We're looking for a hands-on Go-to-Market Engineer with deep HubSpot implementation experience who is also building with AI.

This isn't a traditional HubSpot Administrator role, and we're not looking for someone who has simply used HubSpot as part of a Sales or Marketing team.

You need to have implemented HubSpot — ideally across multiple clients or businesses — and understand how to architect, build and improve HubSpot environments properly.

You'll be working in a HubSpot partner environment, designing and implementing solutions for clients while also using Claude, AI agents, automation and integrations to build the next generation of GTM systems.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing and implementing HubSpot solutions across Sales, Marketing and Customer Success.

  • Running client discovery and requirements-gathering sessions.

  • Translating business processes and commercial requirements into practical HubSpot solutions.

  • Working across Sales Hub, Marketing Hub and Service Hub implementations.

  • Building complex HubSpot workflows, automation, lifecycle processes and lead-routing solutions.

  • Designing CRM architecture including objects, properties, associations and data structures.

  • Auditing existing HubSpot portals and identifying issues across architecture, automation, data and integrations.

  • Planning and executing CRM migrations including field mapping, associations, data cleansing, deduplication and validation.

  • Configuring users, teams and permissions.

  • Building dashboards, reporting and visibility for client teams.

  • Integrating HubSpot with external platforms using APIs, webhooks and custom solutions.

  • Building custom solutions when native HubSpot functionality isn't enough.

  • Documenting solution architecture, workflows, integrations and key technical decisions.

  • Managing testing and UAT before solutions go live.

  • Supporting client training, handover and ongoing optimisation.

  • Building and deploying AI agents that solve real GTM problems.

  • Using Claude and other LLMs to automate and improve Sales, Marketing and Customer Success processes.

  • Connecting HubSpot with AI tools and other platforms using APIs, webhooks and MCP.

  • Building agents that can access CRM context, use tools, make decisions and take appropriate actions.

  • Creating AI-powered automation across lead qualification, routing, enrichment, prospecting and customer lifecycle management.

  • Prototyping new AI ideas and turning them into working solutions.

  • Testing, monitoring and improving implementations, agents and automations once they're in production.

What we're looking for

HubSpot implementation experience is essential.

You must have:

  • 3+ years of hands-on HubSpot implementation experience.

  • Experience implementing HubSpot solutions — not simply using HubSpot as an end user.

  • Experience delivering HubSpot implementations from discovery through to go-live.

  • Experience working across multiple HubSpot portals, clients or implementations.

  • Strong experience with HubSpot workflows and automation.

  • Strong understanding of HubSpot CRM architecture, objects, properties and associations.

  • Experience with data migration, data quality, deduplication and CRM governance.

  • Experience configuring users, teams and permissions.

  • Experience with HubSpot reporting and dashboards.

  • Experience integrating HubSpot with external systems.

  • Experience working with APIs and webhooks.

  • Strong client-facing consulting and stakeholder-management skills.

  • The ability to understand a client's business requirements, design the solution and then get hands-on and build it.

  • Experience auditing and improving existing HubSpot environments, not only building greenfield implementations.

  • An understanding of when to use native HubSpot functionality versus custom development, integrations or AI.

  • Experience building AI agents or agentic workflows — not simply using ChatGPT or Claude.

  • Hands-on experience with Claude or other modern AI development tools.

  • An understanding of prompting, context, tool use, guardrails and how agents interact with external systems.

  • A genuine interest in AI and where GTM technology is heading.

  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • You must be based in Australia or New Zealand.

We'd love to see

Experience with some of the following would be highly regarded:

  • HubSpot Solutions Partner experience

  • HubSpot certifications or accreditations

  • Claude Code

  • Model Context Protocol (MCP)

  • HubSpot APIs

  • HubSpot Developer Platform

  • Custom workflow actions

  • JavaScript / TypeScript

  • Python

  • REST APIs and webhooks

  • Serverless functions

  • RevOps / GTM Operations

  • Data enrichment platforms

  • Sales automation

  • AI-powered prospecting and research

  • AI-powered lead qualification and routing

  • CRM integrations

You don't need to tick every technical box.

But the HubSpot implementation experience isn't optional.

Who this role will suit

You're someone who already knows how to implement HubSpot properly.

You've worked across different HubSpot environments and understand that a good implementation is much more than building a few workflows.

You understand CRM architecture, data, automation, integrations and reporting, and how Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams actually use HubSpot.

You've dealt with new implementations as well as existing portals where the architecture, data or automation needs to be untangled and improved.

You can sit with a client, understand what they're trying to achieve, challenge requirements when necessary, work out how HubSpot should be structured and then get hands-on and build it.

You also know when not to build something. You understand when native HubSpot functionality is the right solution and when there's a genuine need for custom development, integrations or AI.

But you're also interested in what comes next.

You've been building with AI agents, LLMs and modern AI tooling and you're interested in how AI can change the way GTM systems operate.

You're probably the person who sees a repetitive GTM process and immediately thinks:

"We could automate that."

You don't need a perfectly defined brief before you start. You're comfortable testing ideas, solving problems and figuring things out.

We're not looking for someone learning HubSpot. We're looking for someone who already understands HubSpot deeply and wants to help build the next generation of AI-powered GTM systems.
