Human Resource Coordinator

Coordinates hiring, onboarding, and HR administration for a nonprofit vocational rehab agency, using Paycom for talent acquisition and benefits management.

VGS is a highly acclaimed, successful, private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) vocational rehabilitation agency with over 135 years of dedicated experience serving persons with disabilities or other barriers to employment. We are currently seeking to hire a Human Resources Coordinator that will be responsible for performing the following job duties.
- Hold weekly meetings with hiring managers to discuss hiring needs and progress made in their interviewing process.
- Assist with reviewing resumes and conducting phone screens for 2-3 positions a week.
- Create job templates and job postings in Paycom.
- Educate supervisors on appropriate interviewing etiquette.
- Educate supervisors on how to utilize the Talent Acquisition module in Paycom to support their needs.
- Call candidates and make offer of employment. Schedule and conduct onboarding for employees.
- Complete all pre-hire onboarding responsibilities to include processing background checks, Medicaid database checks, coordinate drug testing, ensuring office space is prepared, IT equipment is requested and set up, communication with new hire prior to start date, etc.
- Assist with the administration of medical, dental and Pre-Tax 125 plans under the supervision of the Human Resources Director; administers COBRA benefits.
- Complete billing and aid in reconciliation of the health, dental, and flexible spending plans.
- Schedule and execute open enrollment meetings for supplemental benefit plans.
- Complete benefit orientations.
- Collaborate with supervisors to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Communicate with supervisors and managers to create job descriptions and requisitions.
- Coordinate onsite job fairs at various VGS locations.
- Attend job fairs as requested in the community.
- Maintain regulatory compliance with the DOL, EEOC, Medicaid, CARF, etc. Implement procedures to ensure the agency is in compliance and can successfully pass related audits.
- Take on special projects as requested.
- Maintain current benefit information, performs research on personnel issues, and maintains current personnel information and records.
- Assist with department filing and mailings as needed.
- Regular attendance.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a positive manner that gets along with customers, vendors, participants, co-workers and supervisors.
- Approximately 10% travel will be required as necessary to visit sites and attend job fairs.
