Human Resource Officer - Cairns
- Support the
development and implementation of HR initiatives and
systems to streamline HR processes, including recruitment,
contracting, onboarding, offboarding, induction, training,
performance management.
- Provide counseling on
policies and procedures relating to HR

Be actively involved in
recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and
managing the hiring process through to second interview
including conducting qualifying interviews and testing
- Develop
training and development programs.

Assist in performance
management processes
- Support the management of
disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Maintain employee records
according to policy and legal requirements.

Review employment and
working conditions and rates to ensure legal compliance.
- Work
with the intake and asset management to ensure all employee
needs are met from an access and equipment
perspective
- Work
with compliance to ensure all NDIS regulations are met from
an employee management perspective
Requirements
- Experience in an
HR officer, administrator or other HR
position
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay &
benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
- Understanding of labour laws and
disciplinary procedures
- Proficient in MS
Office
- Outstanding organizational and
time-management abilities
- Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and
decision-making aptitude
- Strong ethics and
reliability
- BSc/BA
in business administration, social studies or relevant
field; further training will be a plus
