The Human Resources Project & Operations Specialist is a hands-on HR professional who provides flexible support across HR Coordinator and HR Specialist responsibilities while serving as a primary resource for building, organizing, and completing HR projects. This role helps turn HR needs and ideas into clear plans, processes, tools, and completed initiatives - from initial concept through implementation and follow-through.
QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:
· 2+ years of experience in human resources, project coordination, operations, or a related field preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept through completion, including planning, organization, follow-up, and documentation.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Associates, Leaders, and cross-functional partners.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, details, and changing business needs.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
· Proficient with or able to quickly learn HRIS, benefits, project tracking, and other business applications.
· Comfortable creating practical HR forms, checklists, procedures, trackers, templates, and training materials.
· High levels of personal accountability, follow-through, and ownership; does not wait to be reminded to move work forward.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
· Flexible, curious, solutions-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities change.
RESPONSIBILITIES – HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE VISION include the following, but are not limited to:
· Serve as a flexible HR resource, providing day-to-day support that may include coordination or project based responsibilities for the department.
· Assist with recruiting and onboarding activities, including candidate communication, interview coordination, job posting support, new hire documentation, and onboarding logistics as needed.
· Support HR administration including HRIS updates, associate records, reporting, benefit documentation, employment-related forms, and other routine HR activities.
· Maintain accurate and organized project and HR documentation, ensuring files, trackers, procedures, and final deliverables are current and accessible.
· Participate in HR team meetings and help manage the department project/workload calendar so priorities, dependencies, and capacity are visible to the team.
· Partner with HR team members to identify opportunities for improvement and help convert recurring issues, associate feedback, or leadership needs into actionable projects.
· Assist with company events, wellness efforts, associate communications, and other HR initiatives that support a positive associate experience.
· Own assigned HR projects from beginning to end by clarifying the goal, defining deliverables, building a project plan, setting milestones, coordinating work, and driving completion.
· Build and improve HR processes, procedures, forms, templates, checklists, trackers, and other tools that make HR work more consistent, efficient, and scalable.
· Coordinate project tasks with HR Team while keeping them informed of timelines, decisions, risks, action items, and next steps.
· Track project progress and follow up on open items, removing roadblocks or escalating concerns when deadlines, resources, or decisions may affect completion.
· Support implementation and rollout of new HR programs, processes, or systems, including testing, documentation, communications, training support, and post-launch follow-up.
· Provide full support of management decisions and represent the HR Department with professionalism, consistency, and sound judgment.
· Uphold all company policies, HR practices, confidentiality requirements, and applicable employment-related standards within the scope of the role.
· Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
· Enthusiastically provide support to the day-to-day operations of Fait which could be, but is not limited to, picking lenses in the distribution center, etc.

· HR processes, tools, procedures, and documentation are accurate, practical, current, and easy for others to use.
· Assigned support is completed accurately, timely, and with appropriate judgment.
· Communication with Associates, Leaders, and project partners is timely, clear, professional, and responsive.
· Strong ownership and follow-through are demonstrated without requiring repeated reminders or direction.
· Confidentiality is upheld to the highest degree, with sensitive information handled appropriately and professionally.
· Accessibility and responsiveness to communication via phone, e-mail, text, chat, face to face, etc.
· Positive perception of support from internal customers and team members. Typically measured through 360 feedback, yet individual feedback may be used.
· Attendance at company expectations of 95% or greater.

PERSONAL IMPROVEMENT
Fait will provide resources and support, relevant to the position, for education and training as needed. It is the Associate’s responsibility to seek approval, schedule and participate in education and/or training that will prepare him/her for present and future needs. A post training recap may be required.
