This position is within the Office of Management and Finance (OMF), a team that helps keep Louisiana Works operating smoothly through key administrative functions. The Human Resources Analyst A/B/C/Specialist provides assistance associated with Discipline/Employee Relations, and Layoff Avoidance/Layoffs. This role additionally serves as the primary administrator of Performance Management and feedback, and as back-up for functions related to FMLA, Unemployment, Workers' Compensation, Insurance and Retirement. This position supports Executive Leadership, Management and Supervisors on related matters. Minimum Qualifications
- Three years of human resources experience; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Details:
- Provide guidance and consultation to appointing authorities, managers, and supervisors on progressive discipline, disciplinary actions, performance management, workplace conduct, and employee relations matters.
- Review disciplinary documentation and prepare related correspondence, including counseling letters, reprimands, performance improvement plans, pre-deprivation notices, and other disciplinary correspondence.
- Conduct and coordinate employee relations investigations, including complaints of discrimination, harassment, workplace violence, threats, and other workplace misconduct. Assist in resolving workplace concerns at the informal level and facilitate grievances when formal resolution is required.
- Collaborate and consult with legal counsel, as appropriate, regarding disciplinary and employee relations matters.
- Provide consultation and training to management and employees regarding performance management, workplace conduct, policy interpretation, disciplinary procedures, grievance processes, and employee relations practices. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in disciplinary, grievance, employee relations, and performance management processes.

Compensation: This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of the following:Human Resources Analyst A: $20.20 per hour / $1,616.00 biweekly
Human Resources Analyst B: $21.61 per hour / $1,728.80 biweeklyHuman Resources Analyst C: $24.31 per hour / $1,944.80 biweekly
Human Resources Specialist: $26.01 per hour / $2,080.80 bi-weekly
