Human Resources Assistant
Full Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $19 to $21 depending on qualifications and experience
Must be at least 18 years and older
Position Description:
The Human Resources Assistant handles a variety of personnel related administrative duties and acts as a liaison between Human Resources and team members. They provide daily support in all HR functions and activities and assist in coordinating HR policies, processes, and relevant documents.
Your day-to-day:
Assist team members with questions and inquiries related to HR policies, payroll, benefits, wellness, and training
Support in both external and internal online job application system – screen and organize applications as appropriate, ensure follow-up with applicants
Schedule and conduct first interviews, make hiring recommendations
Assist in the onboarding of newly hired team members; gather records for all new hires – I-9s, working papers, background checks, orientation paperwork, etc.
Conduct new hire Orientations, Go for the Gold, Tips training, and other benefits enrollments
Ensure accurate timekeeping by entering error logs and correcting missed punches, when necessary
Maintain accurate personnel and training files on the HR Dayforce system
Assist in the planning and execution of team member events (luncheons, bulletin boards, Rec. Association events, etc.)
Promoting a safe place to work by conducting safety walks, holding safety committee meetings, and celebrating safety lunches
Follow up with Team members on 14-day chats
Communication between Team members on leave, providing them with the necessary paperwork
Prepare informational reports, upon request
Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, or equivalent
Strong communications skills, both written and oral
Above average computer skills, with preferred experience in Dayforce, Microsoft Office suites, and The Stew Leonard’s Round-up
Able to prioritize and multi-task and juggle many tasks
Strong organizational skills
Strong time management skills
Comfortable with speaking in public/presentations
Basic knowledge of labor laws
