Human Resources Coordinator

Darigold is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR team providing administrative and clerical support to our I-5 Corridor plants and warehouses. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records, processing HR transactions, coordinating onboarding activities, supporting HR systems, assisting with compliance documentation, and providing excellent customer service to employees and managers. The HR Coordinator plays an important role in ensuring HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. This is a full-time hourly position.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide administrative support to the HR Business Partner and HR Generalist for the I-5 Corridor plants and warehouses
  • Process routine employee transactions in UKG, including new hires, terminations, address changes, job changes, supervisor changes, salary updates, and password resets
  • Prepare onboarding materials, send welcome emails, initiate background checks, and coordinate new hire orientation and first-day activities
  • Process onboarding and termination transactions in UKG and send follow-up communications to appropriate departments
  • Maintain employee personnel files and upload documentation into the electronic document management system
  • Assist with HR recordkeeping by scanning, filing, copying, and maintaining confidential employee records
  • Conduct routine HR audits, including I-9 audits and personnel file reviews, and assist in gathering documentation for internal and external audits
  • Answer routine employee questions regarding HR forms, processes, policies, and HR systems, referring to more complex issues to the HR Business Partner or Sr. HR Generalist
  • Coordinate employee recognition activities, including service anniversaries, birthdays, and employee appreciation events
  • Schedule orientations, meetings, training sessions, and other HR activities
  • Maintain HR tracking logs, including grievance tracking, audit logs, and other departmental spreadsheets
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for routine HR administrative processes
  • Send reminders to managers regarding required HR documentation, corrective action deadlines, performance reviews, and other scheduled HR activities
  • Take meeting notes and distribute meeting summaries and action items as requested
  • Work with HR and Payroll to ensure employee transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • The ability to travel up to 20% of the time is required
  • Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 2 years’ experience in HR, Payroll or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred
  • Experience with UKG and Workforce Management a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong administrative and clerical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Basic understanding of HR practices and employment laws
  • This position is fully onsite Monday - Friday
