Human Resources Coordinator

The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources department by assisting with a wide range of functions, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, training coordination, and general clerical and administrative tasks. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees, providing timely guidance, information, and support while helping ensure a smooth and positive HR experience across the organization.

Hourly Rate: $22.11-$28.00

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Acts as a trusted support for employees as a main point of contact with a welcoming, responsive and caring presence.

· Maintain HRIS data and help troubleshoot employee self-service issues.

· Compiles, implements and follows through on all Human Resources compliancy subjects, including tracking of benefits, payroll processes, personnel filing, company policies, legal situations, I9s etc.

· Prepare HR-related reports, metrics, and documentation as needed.

· Assists in the scheduling, screening and onboarding of new employees; prepares offer letter packets and new hire documents; assists with new hire orientation program.

· Ensure that personnel files (electronic and paper) are compliant, organized and manageable for easy access.

· Compiles training data and assists with training set-up, attendance, and required tracking.

· Assists in management of the LMS system in coordinator with the Training Manager.

· Demonstrates continuous effort to improve HR operations and streamline work processes, including the use of new technology and automation; works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service.

· Assist in coordination and organizing DART events and recognition opportunities.

· Performs related human resources work and department support activities as required.

· All other assigned tasks.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma, Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related field
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related experience preferred
  • Human Resources experience including and not limited to, payroll, benefits, recruitment, hiring & onboarding.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Ability to maintain accurate files and records and easily retrieve upon necessity
  • Ability to build/maintain positive working relationships with management, employees and the public using principles of good customer service, anticipating business needs and responding to daily requests through oral/written communications of excellence
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in handling highly sensitive information
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Ability to be detail oriented and use time management skills efficiently
  • Ability to calculate basic and sometimes complex mathematical functions.
  • Ability to follow directions, problem-solve and use resources and references when necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

On a normal workday, this position requires:

· Prolonged periods of sitting and reaching

· Extensive use of hands, fingers and arms in operations requiring constant handling of paper documents, computing and entering data using a keyboard and ten key calculators.

· The ability to hear normal verbal conversation with or without corrective devices to communicate with co-workers and customers

· The ability to speak and read the English language clearly and concisely

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Primary work location is in a general office environment, heated during the winter and cooled in the summer.
  • Seated at a front desk, providing customer service to internal and external customers while completing one’s own assigned work, interruptions and disruptions are possible.
