Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department and serves as a key resource for employees and managers. This role is responsible for coordinating recruitment efforts, onboarding and orientation, benefits administration, employee engagement initiatives, training compliance, HR systems administration, and employee communications. The HR Coordinator acts as a trusted point of contact, helping deliver an exceptional employee experience while ensuring efficient and compliant HR processes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure EmBe brand, mission, vision, and values are reflected in all interactions.

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify current and future workforce needs.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and maintain recruitment campaigns across social media and other talent acquisition platforms.

  • Maintain relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and workforce partners to support recruitment efforts.

  • Manage new hire onboarding and orientation from start to finish, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience.

  • Conduct new employee orientations and serve as a trusted HR resource for employees throughout the employment lifecycle.

  • Act as a champion for employee engagement and employee experience initiatives.

  • Support employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and organizational culture efforts.

  • Conduct employee exit interviews and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.

  • Serve as an approachable and trusted resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related questions.

  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication between HR leadership and employees.

  • Support managers and employees by directing inquiries and concerns to appropriate resources.

  • Assist with the communication and implementation of HR programs, initiatives, and organizational changes.

  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and general benefit questions.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.

  • Conduct regular audits of personnel files, benefit records, training documentation, and HRIS data to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Oversee employee training records and monitor mandatory training completion.

  • Conduct background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment screening activities.

  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and data as requested.

  • Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee service.

  • Complete HR administrative tasks including document management, filing, scanning, record retention, and correspondence.

  • Assist with HR projects, initiatives, events, and special assignments.

  • Support departmental goals through collaboration, organization, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or directed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Customer service mindset with a passion for employee experience and organizational culture.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • HR experience or similar preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

  • Work is performed in an indoor office environment

  • Noise level is quiet
