Human Resources Coordinator
Position SummaryThe HR Coordinator will play an important role in supporting a positive employee experience and keeping day-to-day HR operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including pre-employment activities, paperwork preparation, orientation sessions, and assistance with benefits enrollment.
Responsible for the I-9 and E-Verify process, including initial entry, audits, and re-verifications.
Facilitate background and security checks for employees requiring access to secure project sites.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Process employee changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations, in the HRIS system.
Handle employee inquiries and escalate complex issues to the HR Manager as needed.
Prepare HR-related reports and presentations for management as required.
Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement programs and performance management processes.
Assist in the implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies in all HR-related activities.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
2+ years proven experience as an HR Coordinator or similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and HR best practices.
Strong attention to detail; highly organized, methodical, and results-driven.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment.

Additional Information
This is an in-office position based in Beltsville, Maryland.
Typical working hours for this role are 8 AM to 4 PM.
Salary Range: $26-$28 per hour (depending on experience).
