Human Resources Coordinator

- Assists in recruitment processes including preparing job postings, interview scheduling, and applicant record maintenance.
- Assists in the new hire orientation, onboarding, and off-onboarding processes.
- Provides administrative support to the HR department, as needed, in areas such as research, electronic file maintenance, and HRIS entry.
- Completes human resources initiatives and projects
- Provides training and assistance to employees on the HRIS system.
- Assist with benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations; assists with the benefits open enrollment process; communicate benefits information to employees; review benefit bills for accuracy and correct any discrepancies.
- Backup support for all aspects of payroll management, processing, and auditing.
- Creates HR, benefit, and performance review forms using Adobe pdf software.
- Completes administrative duties including mailing FedEx packages, proofreading documents, and coordinating internal meetings and events.
- Partners with and aids other departments on projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or equivalent
- Bi-lingual: Reading, writing, and conversational Spanish & English communication skills.
Preferred:
- Associate degree in human resources, business, or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources in the manufacturing/warehouse industry
- Experience with payroll software programs, HRIS systems, online benefit administration systems, online recruiting systems, and other HR-related software packages
Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc:
Required:
- Strong sense of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail, especially accurate data entry
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. The ability to learn new software packages quickly.
- Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of benefits, human resources practices, and employment laws including insurance regulations, ADA, Anti-Discrimination Laws, COBRA, FLSA, and FMLA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work well independently
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
