Human Resources Director
Role Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- · Identifies with, shares in, and displays a commitment to the vision, mission, core values, and core virtues of ABLE, Inc.
- · Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention and culture.
- · Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- · Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, payroll, compensation, benefits, and leave; employee relations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and culture; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- · Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- · Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
- · Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- · Compiles information about compensation and benefits packages based on market data.
- · Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- · Develops and implements departmental budget.
- · Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
- · Supervises and provides guidance to the Human Resource Generalist, Schedulers & Receptionist
- · Performs other duties as assigned.
Leadership
- · Partners with the Executive Director to maintain and build relationships across the organization and community to support the strategic goals.
- · Attends Board meetings as required.
Continuing Education:
- · Attends conferences/workshops as needed to further the organizations’ ability to provide an outstanding work environment for all employees of ABLE, Inc.
- · Maintains certifications/credentials.

Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
o BA/BS in Human Resources or Business Administration
o 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role
o Excellent analytical and organizational skills
o Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
o Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
o Strong supervisory and leadership skills
o Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
o Ability to work with time-sensitive issues
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & HRIS software
Preferred:
o Experience working in a non-profit organization
o SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP or PHR
o Master’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration

Travel: Travel within Houston County, MN required.
