Human Resources Generalist
POSITION SUMMARY
The position of Human Resources Generalist for the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE) is one of significant responsibility. They are responsible to the Center’s CEO/President and are directly supervised by the General Counsel and Director of Human Resources and Senior Human Resources Business Partner. They will work collaboratively with the team on human resource systems, practices, processes, and procedures.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing input to the General Counsel and Director of Human Resources and Senior Human Resources Business Partner on employment-related issues and ensures compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies. They will maintain a level of knowledge to offer appropriate solutions that are legally defensible and in line with CORE values. They are expected to recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the HR department and CORE.
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the maintenance of the personnel records, administration and processing of all leaves of absence, administration of employee benefits, administration and coordination of the annual employee performance review process, and other human resource related tasks such as tracking of role specific requirements and needs which includes but is not limited to scheduling lab work and processing clearance verifications and reverifications for clinical staff. They ensure HR files and documentation are consistently audit ready, reducing compliance risk and protecting CORE from potential regulatory and legal consequences. They will assist with the administration of worker’s compensation, FMLA, Unemployment Compensation, long-term disability, and short-term disability claims. They will be responsible for data entry in the HRIS system. They will also manage the paperwork for Per Diem contractors. They will partner with Finance to provide accurate HR data necessary for payroll. They will provide HR reporting, data analysis, and project support. They may also be assigned other job-related functions, from time to time, by the President/CEO, the General Counsel and Director of Human Resources, or the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner.
