Purpose of the Position
The HR Generalist (People Operations) is the operational engine of HR service delivery. This role manages the “front door” HR intake process, executes HR transactions, supports benefits administration and reporting, and provides payroll support/backup coverage through documented processes and cross-training with Payroll Manager. The role also supports HR-led acquisition integration activities by coordinating onboarding logistics, training administration, and data readiness. Spanish/bilingual capability is preferred.
Essential Position Responsibilities
Own daily HR inbox operations using a structured triage model.
Provide timely employee and manager support; ensure requests are tracked through closure and escalations are routed appropriately.
Process employee lifecycle transactions (new hires, status changes, transfers, terminations) according to established approvals and audit standards.
Maintain HR documentation, acknowledgments, and personnel file organization.
Support benefits administration: eligibility changes, life events, employee questions, carrier escalation coordination.
Assist with census/eligibility audits and recurring HR reporting (headcount, turnover, onboarding completion, basic dashboards).
Serve as trained payroll backup in partnership with the Payroll Manager, providing coverage as needed for payroll processing so payroll continuity is protected during PTO/leave/unplanned absence.
Coordinate onboarding logistics for newly acquired employees (data collection, document completion, training scheduling, Day 1 readiness).
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
3–6 years HR Generalist or HR Operations experience; multi-site preferred
Highly organized; strong follow-through; comfortable working in a high-volume environment
Strong documentation and confidentiality practices
HRIS experience required (Dayforce preferred); strong Excel/reporting skills
Spanish/bilingual preferred
Comfortable partnering with payroll and learning payroll support processes
