Position Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day management of personnel, communications, and policy administration. Provides support to Team Members in various HR-related topics and helps resolve any issues that may arise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinates the Team Member Enrollment process for candidates who have been selected for hire within GTS and all Staff positions.
• Audit offers of employment to selected candidates to ensure consistency and FLSA requirements are met.
• Audit completion of employer requirements for verification of I-9
• Audit of pre-employment background checks
• Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
• Ensure legal compliance with HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update hiring policies and/or procedures as required
• Coordinate employee surveys and give actionable insights to improve employees' experience
• Provide support to team members in various HR-related topics such as leaves and benefits questions and resolve any issues that may arise
• Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
• Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data
• Arrange HR and HRIS training based on each department's needs
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
Additional Responsibilities
• Involved in HR assignments and projects as assigned.
• Assists Team Members with routine personnel-related questions.
• Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and
teamwork with customers and employees.
• Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and work in a team oriented,
fast-paced environment.
• Adheres to all GWH Policies & Procedures, Loss Prevention & Safety Regulations,
and GWH Guiding Principles.
• Must be punctual and have dependable attendance and maintain an
appropriate appearance.
• Adheres to local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in HR or a related field is preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of experience is preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Offices products.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
• Strong collaborative and presentation skills.
• Ability to work at all levels within the organization.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
• Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull, up to, 25 lbs.
• Able to spend most working hours at a computer.
