Human Resources Generalist

Nutex Health is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resource Generalist supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department and serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers. This role is responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and performance management support, maintain HR records, and policy administration. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, discreet, and able to balance employee support with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes to ensure a consistent and positive employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, HRIS data, and compliance documentation.
  • Support employee benefits programs, leave processes, payroll-related changes, and employee inquiries.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, workplace expectations, and employee relations matters.
  • Assist with performance management processes, employee development initiatives, corrective action documentation, and workplace investigations as needed.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and assist with policy updates and audits.
  • Prepare HR reports, track workforce metrics, and identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee engagement.
  • Support training programs, employee communication, recognition initiatives, and culture-building activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Two or more years of experience in human resources, employee relations, benefits administration, or a related HR function.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and standard HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience maintaining employee records and working with HRIS, applicant tracking, payroll, or benefits systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment in confidential situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR.
  • Experience supporting multi-site, healthcare, nonprofit, manufacturing, professional services, or fast-paced business environments.
  • Experience with employee engagement programs, compliance audits, training coordination, or HR process improvement.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HR reporting tools.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manages positive, supportive relationships with assigned client groups, providing a range of HR support, benefits, performance feedback, compensation.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation and benefits; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Process leaves and educates employees on requirements.
  • Responds to unemployment claims and participate in hearings.
  • Coaches hospital leaders on progressive discipline and proper documentation
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and use critical thinking to solve issues.
  • Demonstrations excellent customer service and follow up with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Runs and analyzes ad-hoc reports in Workday.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four years HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience including Employee Relations, FMLA, and supporting 250+ employees and/or multiple locations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
    • Or a certificate in Human Resources (optional with a minimum of 5 years’ HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state employment labor laws
  • Experience with Workday a plus
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook software. Experience with VLookUp and Pivot Tables a plus.
  • Ability to take initiative, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot problems and offer solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships and be an active, engaged member of a team.
  • Ability to travel quarterly to assigned hospitals
