Human Resources Generalist
Overview
The Greater Change is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a variety of HR functions, supporting our mission to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This role is ideal for a proactive and resourceful individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and onboarding: Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job postings and candidate sourcing to interviewing and onboarding new hires.
- Employee relations: Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns, facilitating conflict resolution and promoting employee engagement.
- Performance management: Assist in the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback sessions.
- Compliance and policy management: Ensure HR policies and procedures are current, compliant, and effectively communicated across the organization.
- Training and development: Support the development and delivery of training programs aimed at employee development and skills enhancement.
- HR administration: Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and reporting, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
- Compensation and benefits: Assist in administering employee benefits programs and maintaining payroll accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and labor laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR software systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred but not mandatory.
